- Programs are planned and booked at least 6 months in advance; please refer to program application deadlines.
Program Application Deadlines
- January 15: for programs in June, July, and August
- April 15: for programs in September, October, and November
- July 15: for programs in December, January, and February
- October 15: for programs in March, April, and May
- Anyone who provides a program completes a Background Consent Form.
- Presenter/performers are encouraged to provide three (3) professional letters of reference.
- If payment is required, must submit a W-9 and proof of insurance.
- Approval does not guarantee that you will be hired for events, however it clears you to proceed if your application is selected.
- All prospective program presenter/performers are asked to complete the following online application. Applications received via email, telephone, mail or in person will not be considered.
- Incomplete forms will not be considered.
- HPL will send a receipt for submission of the application and an email if the program has been approved.
- Programs are funded through the Houston Public Library Foundation https://www.houstonlibraryfoundation.org
